If you are receiving the above error message when recording your video responses, see the below checks and steps to try resolve the issue.
Check Your Device and Internet Connection:
Ensure that you:
- Are connected to the internet using a home WiFi network, ethernet connection or a mobile data hotspot,
- turn off any VPN software or private relay network if it is enabled, and
- That you are using a personal device and not a work provided device.
Alternatively, Vieple is available on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and PC. Using a different device may be a quick way to resolve your current issue. To access Vieple on an alternative device, simply head to live.vieple.com using the browsers recommended below:
- PC and Mac: Google Chrome
- Android: Google Chrome
- iPhone/iPad: Safari
Reset Your Browser's Cache:
Please note, these steps will require you to use Google Chrome. If you do not have Chrome installed on your computer, you can head to google.com/chrome.
Step 1 | Open Chrome and go to chrome://settings/clearBrowserData. Select Time Range - All Time, and then check the boxes as shown: | |
Step 2 | Close all Chrome Tabs that you have open. | |
Step 3 | Close all Apps that you have open on your computer. | |
Step 4 | In the bottom-left corner of your computer, search for Settings and open the Settings app. | |
Step 5 | Search for Camera Privacy Settings and select the option from the list labelled Camera privacy settings. | |
Step 6 | Make sure that the following settings are set to On. - Allow apps to access your camera - Allow desktop apps to access your camera You may need to scroll down the page to find these options. | |
Step 7 | Search for Microphone Privacy Settings and select the option from the list labelled Microphone privacy settings. | |
Step 8 | Make sure that the following settings are set to On. - Allow apps to access your microphone - Allow desktop apps to access your microphone You may need to scroll down the page to find these options. | |
Step 9 | Restart your computer. Click on the icon in the bottom-left corner of the computer and click Power>Restart | |
Step 10 | Once your computer has restarted, open Google Chrome. Click on your Profile in the top-right, and select Guest from the 'other people' list. | |
Step 11 | In the new window that appears, copy the link from your invitation, or log back in to your task at live.vieple.com. |
