Tips for a Great Interview

• Remember to dress in professional or business casual attire. Even if you are not there in person, keep in mind those first impressions count, even during a video interview.

• Remember to relax and smile. Look at the camera as much as possible.

• During a video interview it can be hard to remember to look straight ahead, but it's important to do this. Don't let your eyes wander; imagine you are speaking to a person and not just a screen.

• Spend time before your interview thinking of examples to questions you may be asked.

• Read the job ad and/or position description so you are clear on the skills required for the job. These are the skills they will be assessing at interview and will base the questions around.

• Research the employer. Depending on the organisation, your research should give you an understanding of their business, values, key projects, markets, client base and challenges.
